Sebastian Smee

Sebastian Smee is an art critic working for the Washington Post. Previously, he worked at the Boston Globe from 2008 to 2016. He won the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism in 2011. Smee is the author of several books, including The Art of Rivalry: Four Friendships, Betrayals and Breakthroughs in Modern Art (2017) and Lucian Freud: Beholding the Animal: Unflinching Truth (2007). He also teaches at Wellesley College, and has previously worked in London and Sydney for the Daily Telegraph, the Guardian, the Spectator, the Sydney Morning Herald.
