Marianne Derrien

Member of C-E-A - French organisation of curators and AICA France, Marianne Derrien is an independent curator, art critic and teacher. After having been in charge of exhibition's program at the Académie de France in Rome - Villa Medici, she currently collaborates as guest curator with museums and independent venues in France (Mrac Occitanie, Cité internationale des arts, Le Wonder, Mac Val...) as well as internationally (Mudam in Luxembourg, Unosunove in Rome, Wooyang Museum in South Korea, Plataforma Revolver in Lisbon, The Pill in Istanbul...). She teaches in the Master of Science and Techniques of the exhibition at the Sorbonne School of Arts and regularly publishes critical texts. Since 2020, she is in residency at le Wonder, an artist-run space in the Paris region, to develop several curatorial projects (Humain autonome) and publishing projects (Some of Us, Manuella Éditions). She co-founded in 2022 the curatorial platform Fluidlabor, independent and producer structure. In 2023, she won, with artist Eva Nielsen, the BMW Art Makers program as part of the Rencontres d'Arles and Paris Photo.
Marianne Derrien will visit Vienna on a research trip as part of the exchange with Trampoline Association in 2024.
