Elisa R. Linn

Elisa R. Linn is currently artistic director at Halle für Kunst, Lüneburg, where she has been since 2022, and also teaches at the Leuphana University. Linn has given lectures and taught at The New School, Barnard College, Columbia University, Pratt Institute in New York City, Umeå Academy of Fine Arts, Städelschule, TU Berlin, and Royal Academy of Arts in London, among others. She has worked with and curated exhibitions at The Kitchen, the South London Gallery, The Whitney Museum of American Art, The Bronx Museum of the Arts, and the National Gallery Prague, among others. She has contributed to publications and magazines such as Frieze, Starship, artforum, Texte zur Kunst, BOMB, and Jacobin. Linn took part in the first project of AAC | Austrian Association for Curators in 2024. AAC is a platform for curatorial professionals, discourse and methodology. She lead the workshop ‘Migratory Aesthetics and Counter-Public Spheres, ’ which aimed to rethink how and where art and exhibitions can exist and how they can engage with the public in more inclusive and varied ways.
