Philipp Timischl
Fondation Fiminco, Paris
2 – 10 April 2021
Austrian artist Philipp Timischl and fellow Swiss artist Gina Folly were invited by Fondation Fiminco to take over one of their recently opened sites, La Chaufferie. The collaborative exhibition, titled ORCA – Organic Redundant Disaster Aversion, was co-produced by Phileas.
Philipp Timischl, who took part in the Fondation Fiminco’s Artist Residency Programme, presented a series of ten LED screen sculptures that corresponded to a set of twenty luminous objects Gina Folly inserted into the space. This exhibition was the first major representation of Timischl’s work in France, as well as the first collaboration between the artist and Phileas.

His works shift between documentation and fiction, and the private and public spheres, while also playing with ideas of intimacy and self-reflection.
