Anna-Sophie Berger
Donation to Belvedere, Vienna
In 2019, the artist Anna-Sophie Berger was invited by Cell Project Space, London for a solo exhibition. The exhibition, which was co-produced by Phileas, was the first solo presentation for Berger in an institution in the United Kingdom. Following the exhibition, Phileas acquired one sculptural work by Anna-Sophie Berger, which was then donated to the collection of the Belvedere, Vienna.
Anna-Sophie Berger (b. 1989, Vienna) has had solo exhibitions at Bonner Kunstverein; mumok, Vienna and Kunsthaus Bregenz among others. Her work has been included in group exhibition at institutions such as Kunsthalle Wien; Belvedere 21, Vienna; S.M.A.K., Ghent (co-produced by Phileas), as well as the 4th Ural Industrial Biennale, Ekaterinenburg and the 9th Berlin Biennale. In 2017, she was awarded the Ars Viva prize; a yearly prize presented by the Association of Arts and Culture of the German Economy at the Federation of German Industries to young, promising artists.
