Julia Haller
Donation to mumok, Vienna
In 2018, Phileas co-produced Julia Haller’s first solo exhibition in the United States at Midway Contemporary Art in Minneapolis. Under the title – nudes – Haller presented ten new paintings that were both figurative and abstract in their imagery. Following the exhibition, Phileas was able to acquire two of the works which were included in the exhibition, and then donate them to the mumok collection in Vienna.
Julia Haller (b. 1978) lives and works in Vienna, where she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2011. Past solo and two-person exhibitions include Meyer Kainer, Vienna; Galerija Vartai, Vilnius and Secession, Vienna. Her work was included in group exhibitions in a number of international institutions including Salzburger Kunstverein; Museum Angerlehner, Wels; and Belvedere, Vienna.
