Leaves workshop

As part of our supporting programme of John Gerrard’s exhibition Leaf Work, Phileas hosted an activity-based workshop on Saturday, 6 May 2023. During this workshop, younger visitors aged 6 to 12 years were introduced to John Gerrard’s art. The artist was present and showed the children in a playful way how his leaf figure was created.  

John Gerrard is an internationally acclaimed artist, and a key figure in the development of simulation within contemporary art. His works are virtual worlds created using real-time computer graphics, a technology developed by the military and now used extensively in the video game industry. He has a production studio in Vienna and is represented by Pace Gallery.
