Neringa Bumbliené

Curator at Contemporary Art Centre, Lithuania

Neringa Bumblienė is a curator and author, and has worked at the Contemporary Art Centre (CAC) in Vilnius, Lithuania since 2014. In addition to this, she was curator of the Lithuanian Pavilion at the 59th Biennale di Venezia in 2022 and is artistic director of the 1st Vilnius Biennial of Performance Art in 2023. During her career, she has worked on numerous contemporary art projects from large-scale international group exhibitions (including Baltic Triennial 13) to solo presentations of established and emerging artists. Bumblienė is interested in contemporary art that sensitively reflects the challenges of the current world and helps to imagine the future. Among the exhibitions that she has (co-) curated are: Liam Gillick: The Light is no Brighter at the Centre (2017); Give Up the Ghost (2017-2018); Baltic Triennial 13 (2018); Daniel Steegmann Mangrané: Phantom (2018); Alejandro Cesarco: Tactics & Techniques (2019); Head with Many Thoughts (2020); Robertas Narkus: The Board (2020); Michael Rakowitz: Return (2020); the Pavilion of Lithuania at the Venice Biennale (2022); and Robertas Narkus: Gut Feeling (2022).
