Oyindamola Fakeye

Oyindamola Fakeye is an experiential art curator and learning & participation producer working to facilitate contemporary art workshops, events and exhibitions. As of 2023, she is Executive & Artistic Director at the Centre for Contemporary Art, Lagos, where she previously co-founded the Video Art Network Lagos, alongside artist Jude Anogwih and Emeka Ogboh in 2009. Fakeye is a Company Director for Res Artis, the worldwide professional body for artists’ residencies. She sits on the board of Arts in Medicine Projects which runs a fellowship scheme, training art and healthcare practitioners on the best practices within the field. In 2023, Fakeye gained the position of Chair of the National Art in Health Week Nigeria ‘Art and Human Connection: Uniting Through Creativity.’ Fakeye continues to consult within the art and tech space to support digital collaboration, creative entrepreneurship, grant giving and the promotion of new narratives of young people in Africa and the UK. Among the exhibitions Fakeye has (co)curated are Identity: An Imagined State (2009), the first video art exhibition in Nigeria; Lagos Biennial II. How to Build a Lagoon With Just a Bottle of Wine (2019); Moving Between, a virtual experience of the Kofar-Mata dye pit (2020).
