Wonseok Koh

Wonseok Koh is a curator and writer based in Seoul. He is the former chief curator and head of the exhibition division at the Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA). Prior to this, he served as chief curator of the Busan Museum of Art, was team manager of Library Park at the Asia Culture Center (ACC) in Gwangju and curator at the Arko Art Center of Arts Council Korea, Gallery Space, and Alternative Space Pool in Seoul. He also worked as art director of the Artmia Foundation in Beijing and was a research fellow at SOAS, University of London. Some of the exhibitions that Koh has (co-)curated are: David Hockney at the SeMA (2019); Lee Bul: Beginning (2021); Rise Up Rim Dong Sik (2021); Kiki Smith: Free Fall (2022); Jean-Michel Othoniel: Treasure Garden (2022); Kwon Jin Kyu Centennial: Angel of Atelier (2022); and Edward Hopper: From City to Coast (2023).
