Susanna Fritscher
Donated to mumok, Vienna
In 2017, Phileas co-produced a new work by artist Susanna Fritscher for her participation in the 14th Biennale de Lyon, curated by Emma Lavigne. Phileas also co-purchased three film works by the artist to donate to the collection of mumok, Vienna. This was the fourth in a series of donations made by Phileas to mumok during the course of the year.
Susanna Fritscher was born in Vienna, Austria and now lives and works in Montreuil, France. Recent solo exhibitions include the Musée des Beaux Arts in Nantes, France; Frac Corse, Corté; Frac Franche-Comté, Besançon, France and Palais de Tokyo, Paris. Her work has been included in several group exhibitions, among which Simple formes: contemplating beauty, curated by Jean de Loisy and Nanjo Fumio, Mori Art Museum, Tokyo, Japan; Formes Simples at Centre Pompidou Metz and Si j’avais un marteau, by the Musée des Beaux-Arts, le Hangar à Bananes, Nantes, France.
